Damage Mechanism and Wave Attenuation Induced by Blasting in Jointed Rock

This work uses a combination of simulations performed via numerical models and field observations studied the attenuation deep-hole blasting stress waves evolution mechanism cracks in jointed rock mass. First, we conclude that larger joint angle is, is transmission coefficient smaller fractal dimension. Second, time difference between peak maximum principal on both sides hole horizontal direction mass with joints relatively large, but there no significant vertical direction. Finally, an unjointed-rock-mass model multiple parallel are established to explore damage effect mass, it concluded angle, particle velocity amplitude attenuation, as number passing through increases, gradually decreases high-frequency more significantly than low-frequency amplitude. The research conclusions this paper further reveal induced by wave masses law propagation attenuation.
